BOOK'S REVIEW

This trimester I decided to read the book called Jeeves and Friends. 
this book is divided in six short stories. The first story speaks about that Mr.Wooster has to do anything with the book of his uncle, because this can't never arrive to the printing or Florence won't marry him. Jeeves, his new valet, helps Mr.Wooster and finally they get stole the book. But Jeeves decide to send the book because he thinks that Florence is not a good wife for Mr.Wooster.

The second chapter: Auntie Agatha send Mr. Wooster to New York to try to stop the wending between his cousin Corky and a singer. But he meet the couple and he decid to help them, because Corky's uncle don't want that his nephew will married with a poor artist. As he wrote two books about birds, Jeeves propose that the lady can write a book from the uncle's books, and this way he would be glad of his nephew. But he falls in love with the singer and they marry and have a child.
The uncle sys to Corky, that he have to make a portrait of the baby, but it looks very ugly and his uncle forced him to work for him because he's an horrible artist.

Chapter 3: Mr. Wooster want that his sister and her sons come to life with he, but Jeeves doesn't  want it, so Jeeves propose to spend dome days to Brighton and think about it. While they're going by car they find a girl and they decide to bring her to school because she's late.
Jeeves suggest that Mr.Wooster could say he is a friend of her father and that he takes a lift with her. Miss Tomlinson accept the excuse, and she propose to mr. Wooster do a speech in front all the girls. Finally he decide to doesn't have children because they're exhausting.

Chapter 4: McAlister is taking care os the girl who starts going out with the lord Emsworth's son. Lord Emsworth is the sir of McAllister. Lord Emsworth says to McAllister that if he doesn't make her go, he will make him go, so McAllister decide to go.
But Lord Emswort goes to search him after a few days because he's the best gardener and he has to take care of the pumpkin for win the first prize. Finally, he gets the first prize and his son gets marry with the girl, Aggie, and he goes to Ney York to work for her father. 

Chapter 5: Lord Emsworth is angry because he won't have the gravel path, and he goes for a walk. He sees a girl with beautiful flowers and she says that she picked they up from a graden, and she had to throw stones to a boy, who was the gardener, to escape. Lord Emsworth invites the girl to a party in his house, and he give her food for her and her brother, who has bitten the sister of lord Emswoth and for this reason he couldn't come into the house. 

Chapter 6: Freddie, Lord Emsworth's son, backs from NY for work, and his wife decide to go to France. Freddie is taking care of the Aggie's dog, but he give the dog to Valerie because he hate the dog. After this, he receive a telegram from his wife that say that she will return home soon. Freddie scares about it and fall hurting his ankles, so he can't stole his dog from Valerie, and he asks help to his father. Lord Emsworth is captured by a butler, and Lord Emsworth's valet has to help he to scape, but they don't get stole the dog. Finally Freddie discover that his wife also hated the dog. 

I like the book, it's funny, but there was many words that I didn't understand. I didn't understand very well the chapter five, but I think that more or less this chapter speaks about what I explain.

ORIGINS AND EVOLUTION

For to know and understand where we come from and how we have arrived to what we are, Cosmocaixa in Barcelona, propose to us an interesting exhibition about the evolution of human beings.

That exhibition is base don the archaeological and paleontological explorations of Olduvai Gorge in The Ngorongoro reserve in Tanzania (Africa), considered a key point of time in understanding the origin of our ancestors.  For a long time it was thought that the origin of humanity was in Europe, today the thesis of our African origin is almost unanimously accepted.

For visit the exhibition also you have a mobile application with audio guide in four languages.

You can visit until next january.

I love cosmocaixa and its exhibitions, because they are clear and provide us much information. I would like to visit this exhibition, considering that we went in Burgos for this, but I don't have time to go there.

IN THE HOME OF SHAKESPEARE

Catalonia Today propse to the readers and subscribers, visit during three days, three iconic English destinations.

Travel to United Kindon on a trip in the cities of London, Oxford and  Stratford upon Avon.  That travel it’s for commemorating the 400th aniversary of the death for the famous Willian Shakespeare.

The group will be accompanied by a guide at all time.  In London, the first day, they will visit one of the world’s great capital cities, then the second day the group will be off to Oxford to visit the famous universities colleges and their medieval architecture; and in the last day, they propose to visit Stratfor upon Avon, for the full Shakespeare experience, visiting the most prestigious theatre companies, the Royal Shakespeare Company, then visiting the house where he was born and stop in one of the famous old pubs in the city.

Very interesting three days! Shakespeare is one of the most famous authors, so it would be very interesting do this route. I think that is an amazing idea do this types of trips because it's an incredible form to learn about our past. 

I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD

This article speaks about how come to  be the radio important for  a  band.  Albert Planadevall tell us how the radio continue top lay an important role where music and tv series are concerned.  The radio is the most likely place to first hear a band.  For example, in an episode of the series Grey’s Anatomy, first broadcast in 2006, the song How to Save a Life by The Fray appeared.  The supervisor had seen the band in Los Angeles and decided to use their music for the soundtrack  of the popular series, it was an immediate success and How to Save A Life quickly became the oficial anthem for the series.

In less tan 10 years, things have progressed quickly and now you can buy a lot of compilations about the tv series.

So many bands that were totally unknown now have popularity,  and can continue producing while leaving new bands, because the opportunities are not just in the concerts, because  the band can be famous in  a film or series TV.

For be sincerely i think that we don't appreciate this type of band that do the soundtracks of our favorites series and films. They are not well-know, and I think they should be it. 

THE POLITICS OF TELEVITION

The article speaks about the politicals likes in television. Obama, the USA president likes a lot television series and he’s a fan of Breaking Bad, and also of Homeland, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, House of Cards and The Wire and Broadwalk Empire.

When they speak about the Catalan political, the think is diferent.  The ex president of Catalonia, Artur Mas, says he hasn’t enough time to watch so much televison, the others ministers says like Artur Mas, they prefer to spend their time in their  hobbies.  Alicia Sánchez Camacho, the PP leader, is hooked in El Ministerio del Tiempo, a Spanish serie, and some of the others political likes House of the Cards, which tells the story of congressman Frank Underwood who will do anything, and I mean anything, to get to the White House.

I Think we know that a person as important as Obama has the same tastes as you in terms of television, creates a social bond making the difference between he and I decrease.

This article speaks about that El Born Centre Cultura is commemorating the fall of Barcelona to Felipe V's troops in 1714,  in which Catalonia lost its ancestral rights.

But city council has decided to review its use. The results of the exposition will be made public some time this month.

The archaeological are spectacular, historically vital and superbly presented.  “The permanent display will be absolutely respected,” said Sureda, the heads Barcelona council's culture department.

I think that this type of exhibition of El Born do it's very well because we must never forget our past and this can't be deleted.

OBAMA AND MACKLEMORE MADE THE REALEST VIDEO ABOUT BRUG ADDICTION IN AMERICA

This article of elite daily speaks about that overdoses of drugs kill more Americans than traffic accidents, and to stop that, obama received the visit of Macklemore, because he abused drugs and now he want to help people in this tragic situation, and they did a video. Macklemore said: I take this personally. I abused prescription drugs and I battled addiction. If I hadn’t gotten the help that I needed when I needed it, I definitely would not be here today. And I want to help others facing the same challenges that I did.
Also Macklemore shared a tragic story of his own live. The article says that the Congress passed laws to help addicts but theses are not enough, and the first step to solve this for all of us is to start conversations about addiction and help remove the stigma, said Obama.

The drugs are a global issue, because affect all of us, and we have to solve it.  I think that there are many adolescents who abuse drugs and they even not realize of this. 

 

SANT JORDI IN BCN

SANT JORDI
One of my favourites holidays is Sant Jordi, maybe for its ambient. I love see many people in the streets choosing a book and buying roses.
And everyboody know that the best place to celebrate this festive is in Barcelona.
So I took advandage of that my sister lives there to stay the festive there with her and one of my friends.
It was amazing, I remember that casa Batlló were decorated with big roses, and in the streets there were full of shops of roses and books. But there was something that I hated, the enormous mass of people. I had to buy a book from school but I couldn't because the queues were of hours of waits.

BURGOS

AN AMAZING TRIP 
About two months more or less some people of our classe went to Burgos and Leon. My first impressions of this trip was really bad, and I tought that the trip would be bored but it was an amazing trip.
 We went and returned with bus, and we were there for one week. Some people took advantage of the travel with bus, that was of eight hour more or less, to sleep, but I took advantage of that to see series and films.
Once there we visited like five churches, but I loved it. Also we went to dinner tapas the almost all days, but we went crazy looking tapas' bars, but I really don't know why, because all the streets were full of them.
My favorite day was when we went to the caves, because outside there were snow.
Thanks to this trip now I feel we are closeest classmate.

ORAL PRESENTATION- WATER POLLUTION

REVIEW OF OUR ORAL PRESENTATION
A week ago Anna and I made the oral presentation about the contaminated water. Although we were very nervous, I think we did very well, trying to pronounce the words correctly.
I hate the oral presentations of English but I know that is what helps me to improve my pronunciation and helps me to be less ashamed to speak in public.

FIRST BATH

SUMMER
End of April I went to beach with my friend Aina. Once there i really didn't know if I would put me into the water, but I did it, but only until my waist because the water was extremely cold.
But from that day I haven't taken any other swim in the sea, so I hope that the heat will come soon.
Although this year I took the bath quite soon, I remember that last year I had bathed in March , so I think that this year will be more cold than the last year, but I like it because I hate sleep with so much hot.
